Lantas bagaimana dengan orang-orang yang baru kali pertama mengalami jet lag? Bisa jadi tak mudah, apalagi menyesuaikan diri dengan kondisi waktu atau kondisi lingkungan baru. Pengetahuan mengenai jet lag ini mungkin berguna bagi TKI yang ditempatkan di negara dengan zona waktu berbeda dan baru kali pertama melakukan perjalanan udara antar zona waktu.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelum masuk bagiamana cara mengatasi jet lag setelah melakukan perjalanan lintas zona waktu, maka akan saya jelaskan lebih dulu mengenai jet lag. Mabuk pasca terbang biasa disebut jet lag atau desynchronosis, ialah sebuah kondisi dimana tubuh mengalami gangguan terhadap ritme aktivitas, salah satunya aktivitas tidur. Jet lag biasanya terjadi setelah perjalanan cepat melintasi zona waktu yang berbeda, seperti lintas meridian (timur-barat atau barat-timur). Kondisi ini biasanya berlangsung selama beberapa hari dan tergantung pada kondisi tubuh masing-masing individu.<\/p>\n<p>Tanda-tanda seseorang mengalami jet lag, bisa dilihat dari sejumlah gejala fisik dan emosional seperti kecemasan dan kebingungan. Gejala fisik bisa dilihat ketika seseorang mengalami kesusahan tidur\/ insomnia, diare, sembelit, dehidrasi, dan bahkan mual. Nah, permasalahan jet lag menjadi sangat mengganggu apabila kita tak mempersiapkan diri.<\/p>\n<p>Berikut adalah strategi mengatasi jet lag :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sebelum Anda berangkat melakukan perjalanan melintasi zona waktu, ada baiknya jika Anda mulai mengatur ritme tubuh. Tentu hal ini bisa dilakukan dengan mengatur jadwal tidur sedikit demi sedikit sesuai dengan daerah yang dituju. Ritme ini akan membantu Anda untuk segera beradaptasi di lingkungan baru ketika sampai di negara tujuan.<\/li>\n<li>Istirahatlah cukup, hindari makanan atau minuman yang akan membuat Anda merasa tidak nyaman nantinya.<\/li>\n<li>Banyaklah mengkonsumsi air putih, usahakan agar tubuh memiliki banyak cairan.<\/li>\n<li>Konsumsi makanan yang disarankan, makanan berprotein tinggi rendah karbohidrat dan kalori.<\/li>\n<li>Pilihlah penerbangan di malam hari dan gunakan waktu tersebut untuk tidur di pesawat. Perjalanan udara yang ditempuh selama berjam-jam tentu akan melelahkan.<\/li>\n<li>Lakukanlah perenggangan otot, sesekali bangkitlah dari kursi pesawat dan rengganggkan otot kaki, tangan, punggung, dan leher.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Seseorang bisa pulih dari gangguan jet lag, tergantung pada jumlah zona waktu saat berpergian.
