Saya ceritakan bahwa saya membaca dan mencari berita melalui internet. Namun, mereka tidak ada yang percaya. Mereka menyangka aku berbohong dan mengkhayal.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Namaku Kusyiah. Lahir di Desa Banjarreja, Kecamatan Nusawunggu, Cilacap. Perkenalanku dengan komputer sebenarnya sudah dimulai sejak aku bekerja di Jakarta. Pada 1993-1994 aku bekerja di sebuah penyewaan Laser Dics\/Compac Disk yang semua transaksi dilakukan lewat dukungan teknologi komputer. Awalnya aku mengerjakan transaksi dengan tulisan tangan, lama-kelamaan aku disuruh belajar mengetik di komputer, terutama bagaimana memasukan data-data anggota yang jumlahnya hampir ribuan orang ke basis data komputer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTapi aku harus maklum. Siapa sih yang mau percaya orang yang tak lulus sekolah dasar (SD) sepertiku akrab dengan komputer. Sedangkan sepupuku yang sekolah sampai Sekolah Pendidikan Guru (SPG) dan kuliah saja masih belum mampu menggunakan komputer,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Waktu itu, komputer yang aku pahami hanyalah menggunakannya untuk transaksi peminjaman saja. Semua berubah setelah aku memutuskan bekerja di Singapura pada 2000. Waktu baru kerja, majikanku bertanya, \u201cKus, kamu lulusan sekolah apa di Jawa?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Aku tidak pernah sekolah,&#8221; Aku menjawab jujur.<\/p>\n<p>Bosku heran, Lalu ia bertanya lagi. \u201cMengapa kamu tidak sekolah?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kemudian aku jelaskan keadaanku di kampung. Semua aku ceritakan dengan gamblang.\u00a0 Aku tidak sekolah karena kondisi yang kemiskinan yang melanda keluargaku. Bapakku sudah meninggal saat aku masih ingusan, Adikku masih bayi, sementara kedua kakakku masih sekolah sekolah dasar, Otomatis hanya ibu yang mencarikan nafkah untuk kami sekeluarga, Ibu tidak mampu untuk menyekolahkan aku hingga lulus sekolah dasar. Tapi aku bersyukur memiliki bekal bisa membaca dan menulis.<\/p>\n<p>Nasibku sungguh beruntung. Setelah mendengar ceritaku, bosku menyuruhku mengikuti kursus-kursus yang ada di Singapore. Tentu, di setelah pekerjaanku sudah beres. Meskipun Indonesia aku tidak bisa mengenyam pendidikan, tapi di Singapura pembantu rumah tangga sepertiku bisa belajar dengan bebas,<\/p>\n<p>Lalu, aku seperti keranjingan untuk belajar, semua hal aku pelajari tanpa lelah, termasuk komputer dan internet. Itulah sebabnya sewaktu aku pulang ke kampung, aku bercerita tentang keseharianku membaca koran yang terbit di Indonesia melalui internet. Namun, ceritaku disambut dengan tertawaaan. Lalu aku bertekad kembali ke Singapura.<\/p>\n<p>Dua dua tahun kemudian aku pulang dengan membawa komputer dari Singapore, saat itu di kampung masih belum ada yang punya komputer. Di balai desa juga belum ada komputer, Kebetulan aliran Listrik di rumahku masih bebas setrum, jadi komputer masih bisa dinyalakan, Aku lengkapi komputerku dengan beli printer. Baru orang di kampung percaya kalo aku terbiasa dengan komputer, bukan berkhayal.<\/p>\n<p>Sekarang jiwaku sudah menyatu dengan internet. Melalui internet belajar banyak hal, termasuk menulis. Meskipun aku pernah ditertawakan mengaku mampu operasikan komputer, kini aku memiliki ribuan teman, termasuk forumwarga.net yang dikelola orang-orang kampung sepertiku. Semoga forum warga mampu memberdayakan warga kampung dengan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Aku terus mendukungmu.<\/p>\n<p>Kusyiah, Warga Desa Banjarreja, Nusawungu, Cilacap.
