Modal usaha toko ini berasal dari dana tabungannya selama empat tahun bekerja di Saudi Arabia. Di desanya, keluarga Saniri memang dikenal sebagai keluarga buruh migran. Banyak saudaranya yang bekerja di luar negeri. Misalnya, kakak dan adiknya yang saat ini bekerja di Arab Saudi.<\/p>\n<p>Usaha toko kelontong Saniri menjual berbagai macam barang kebutuhan sehari-hari untuk masyarakat setempat,\u00a0 seperti peralatan rumah tangga, sembako dan jajanan anak-anak. Keputusan bisnis membuka toko kelontong ini sudah dipikirkan oleh Saniri sebelumnya, dengan mempertimbangkan belum banyaknya bisnis serupa di desanya.<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Lia (29), selain keluarga Saniri, sangat banyak warga Gintung Tengah yang menjadi buruh migran di berbagai negara. Minimnya peluang kerja di daerah Cirebon dapat dijadikan faktor. Dengan bekerja di luar negeri, mereka bisa mendapatkan banyak uang sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pada awalnya toko Saniri hanya toko kecil-kecilan. Namun, seiring perjalanan waktu dan keuletannya dalam mengembangkan usaha, sekarang toko kelontong miliknya bertambah besar dan maju,\u201d tambah Lia.<\/p>\n<p>Bekerja di luar negeri memang tidak selamanya menyenangkan. Meskipun mendapatkan banyak gaji dan fasilitas kerja yang cukup, masih banyak para buruh migran yang tetap ingin bekerja di kampung halaman karena dekat dengan keluarga.
