Sumber Foto : Pixabay<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/p>\n<p>Selama mempunyai majikan, Pekerja Rumah Tangga (PRT) migran di Hong Kong punya hak untuk\u00a0 berobat jika sakit. Jika majikan melakukan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) ketika sakit, maka selain bisa menuntut ke kantor Labour Department, kita juga bisa menuntut ke Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC) untuk diskriminasi. Jika penyakit kita berkategori bisa disembuhkan, maka majikan tidak berhak memutuskan kontrak kita.<\/p>\n<p>Jika Buruh Migran Indonesia (BMI\/TKI) di Hong Kong merasakan sakit dan membutuhkan pengobatan ke Rumah sakit. Segera lakukan beberapa langkah di bawah ini :<\/p>\n<p>1. Sampaikan ke majikan dan minta waktu berobat<br \/>\nMajikan di Hong Kong diwajibkan memiliki asuransi bagi pekerjanya yang bekerjasama dengan klinik-klinik di Hong Kong. Jika memungkinkan, tanyakan klinik mana yang bisa didatangi sesuai aturan asuransi. Jika majikan tidak merespon, maka lebih baik datang sendiri ke rumah sakit terdekat.<\/p>\n<p>2. Periksa ke rumah sakit terdekat<br \/>\nJika hari biasa tidak memungkinkan untuk berobat, maka gunakan hari libur Minggu untuk ke rumah sakit terdekat dari rumah majikan. Kelebihan di rumah sakit adalah mempunyai alat lengkap dan biaya hanya HK$100. Ajak teman jika enggan pergi sendiri, biasanya di saat sakit kita butuh dukungan moral.<\/p>\n<p>3. Tunjukkan dokumen medis ke majikan untuk minta ganti biaya berobat<br \/>\nKetika berobat, simpan kwitansi, minta medical report (laporan medis) dan jika ada sick leave (cuti sakit) untuk ditunjukkan ke majikan dan minta ganti biaya. Jangan lupa memfotokopi dan menyimpannya, untuk jaga-jaga jika majikan tak mengembalikan dokumen. Jika masih ada janjian dengan rumah sakit lain, tunjukkan ke majikan.<\/p>\n<p>4. Jangan menyerah jika majikan tak suka<br \/>\nBanyak majikan tak bahagia ketika pekerjanya sakit, apalagi jenis penyakitnya serius dan butuh pengobatan lanjutan. Sikap majikan berubah, dan tak sedikit yang berusaha mendorong pekerjanya pulang ke Indonesia. Dalam kondisi seperti ini, jangan menyerah dan tetaplah bertahan. Selama dokter bilang jika anda masih bisa bekerja, berarti anda tetap layak bekerja.<\/p>\n<p>5. Jangan sembarang tanda tangani dokumen<br \/>\nBanyak pekerja yang diminta menandatangani surat-surat oleh majikan dengan berbagai alasan. Selain kwitansi serah terima gaji, lebih baik anda tidak tanda tangan. Atau konsultasikan dulu dengan organisasi surat yang akan anda tanda tangani.<\/p>\n<p>6. Jika di PHK\/terminit, minta bantuan organisasi<br \/>\nJika majikan memutuskan kontrak, penting untuk langsung menghubungi organisasi. Jangan ke agen.
